PASSING OUT PARADE OF THE 2ND BATCH OF FIREMAN TRAINING

may03f3.jpg (55307 bytes)Passing Out Parade was conducted on 27.02.03 at the conclusion of three months Fireman Training which was commenced on 01.12.03.  The function was presided over by Home Secretary, Govt. of  Tamil Nadu. At the IInd batch,  487 persons were trained.  Training is a very important area of any organisation, especially for an organisation like Fire and Rescue Services Department, which constantly need to update its technological capability.   Fire and mishaps not only cause huge damage to the properties and life, they also make the citizen of a society insecure.  In the ultimate analysis the resources spend by a society on modernising and professionalising its Fire and Rescue Services are compensated by the gains obtained by way of saving of life and property. It was a challenge for the Department to conduct training for such a large number of personnelmay03f4.jpg (55821 bytes) without compromising quality. For this purpose, the facilities available in State Training Centre at Tambaram were utilised fully and temporary Training Centres were also established at 6 other places.  These personnel have now entered the field and plugged a gap which had arisen over a period of time. During the past 2 years as many as 810 Firemen have been added to the service thus reducing the work load of the Firemen.
